So lets look into the future for a moment.
Say it's 2050 and technology is so advanced that in less than a second, you can have your dna results in front of you just by pressing your finger on a scanner. Much like how fingerprinting is today but much more information.
Think of the internet and how much the ip addressing has changed. first there was ip-4 then ip-6 only now its like ip-12. 12 being the number of dna strands per person.
In today's world, 2010, you have it taking up to 3 to 5 weeks depending on how backed up the labs are.
Well this would take the lab away, unless for instance, in extreme cases. But as a whole everything would be connected globally as a whole, made up of forrests or nations.
Connected, meaning, to login to an atm machine, all you do is swipe the finger and look into the camera.
You ask, well isnt this being done now??? Yes it is just starting to rollout now but the technology is not quite there yet. I would give it another 20 years or so for anyone to really figure it out.
Another example would be going grocery shopping

The Simple Way To Look At SEO
Hey guys,
So in the past few days, I've been reading and not writing all too much as you might have noticed. It is always good to do research before you write, it makes it that much more interesting.
Today's conversation is about SEO once again. I get calls from potential clients asking about seo and how I can help them rank higher or make more sales.
SEO mainly consists of 3 important factors.
- Keywords
- Content
- Backlinks
Let's analyze each factor.
Keywords are the most important factor to your site. If you do not research your keywords, your traffic and response will be mediocre. When you buy your domain, do some research on keywords before you buy. There might be a better domain for sale that will get more traffic just off the name of the domain.
Oh ya I forgot, it all starts with the domain name. If you have a crappy domain name, it makes it that much harder to get traffic. I like brandable domains myself because people can relate to them much easier.
Content is your message of your site. What do you want the world to know about you and the research that you have done??? One thing about content is it also has to be keyword related.
If you do not know how to write, hire a copywriter who specializes in keyword sales letters.
Backlinks are a very important part of your site. Without quality backlinks to your site, no one would know your site at all. Think of a backlink as an advertisement in a local newspaper.
Notice I typed quality and not quantity. This is very important. It is the difference of targeted traffic rather than generic traffic. Targeted traffic has a way better conversion ratio than generic traffic.
In the end, you want to convert traffic into sales with the best conversion ratio possible.
This brings me to my next post in the next few days, "How You Convert Traffic Into Sales..."

How To Give A Great Presentation
This might help when going for some funding.

Singing In The Rain!
Rain and more rain...gotta love it!!!!
It's like a movie score going through my head watching and listening to all the thunder...awaiting the storms next move. Suspense, Thriller, Action, Adventure. I prob could write a small script just on todays happenings.
What A Day!
If you are having one of those days, Smile. Getting out of the funk is a long tough one but once your out, your out on the town. Enjoy it while you still can.
I've helped many people get over their past just by simply talking about it with them.
The Power Of Your Choice To Let It All Out And Be Heard is one thing no one can ever take away from you. I know, I've been there.
I was on this project where the team of 50 or so of us were getting screwed on a little error in the company travel policy which broke state law. So I did some research on the matter and brought it up to the company. With the company not too pleased with me being right, I ended up getting fired because I was right. Company will of course deny everything but in the end I don't feel like getting my ass reamed for being honest and performing the job to the specifications that they put us through. From what I understand, everyone that followed suit, got paid.
That was a great job and would do it again in a heartbeat. I still call the guys even today to see what is going on in their lives and I always offer my help to these guys.
My point to all of this is don't worry too much about the small stuff, in the end it will all work out. And if you are going through a tough time, talk about it with someone, anyone. It really doesn't matter who it is, bottom line is that you got it off your chest and/or out of your sub conscious so you can breathe a little easier tonight.

Donate, Donate, Donate!!!!!
Happy New Years Everyone!
This is the time of year to put in action them resolutions n stuff. I know from the previous year that I never got to it. So this year, I say fuck the resolution and go about my plans anyway.
It is a fact that last year sucked for me and many. This year has opportunity attached to it. This is the rebound year from the loss from last year. Sorta like a relationship, there is always "find the faith" in a rebound to temporarily satisfy for the moment.
I feel for the people in Haiti. Talk about shattering lives in 5 minutes or less. Thanks Mother Nature, bitch! One good thing about it all, it brings the world together to help the ones in need.
So if you have a dollar to spare from your small tax refund from last year, do your part and give only to the "red cross". Given that I keep the guard up, there is one great organization that you can be sure the money gets to the right places at the right time. Even at that, I'm still skeptic. Of course its too tough to really account for all the donation money that comes in...haha come on now!
In the very recent past I had thought of starting my own philanthropic charitable foundtion/organization to help shelter and educate people that really have a desire to learn about not only what they want to learn about but also learn how to go about it though do not have the means to do it.
The best training class I ever had was in a military type environment. We could not make any mistakes at the end of the day or the results could be fatal. Talk about being on the ball the whole time. It paid off and I am more than glad I got to work on that project.
From all my travels, the one good thing about living here in the US is here, we can do anything and be anything we want to be if we put enough trust and focus in our efforts. I totally invite anyone from another country to "Come on down" and be who you want to be.
Live The American Dream!

Blame It On The Rain
Yes, it's raining outside with some pretty massive winds here in Southern California.
DID YOU KNOW
The US Government provides free weather information to anyone free of charge. This is the source to The Weather Channel and Accuweather and all the other weather companies. It is an interesting fact.
More about the weather later...let's cut to the chase...
If your company does not have a website by now, you are simply missing out. There are 2 ways to market, online or offline. Many businesses prefer the offline model because it makes it more personable, though the online model can create instant sales on every hour on the clock. So even when you are sleeping, orders can be made.
To get to that point can be overnight to within a few months, depending on the overall strategy. Marketing ratios are the key to any online business. Converting traffic to sales.
How do we convert traffic to sales?
There are lots of things to consider when converting traffic to sales. One of the things I stress is make sure you have a pretty good domain name relating to your niche or industry. The second is to have a good looking site. When your site looks like shit, chances are you are not going to get any sales.
Web standards change every few months and new scripts and tools are being created everyday, so it is of utmost importance to be on top of that or you will definitely miss out.
This brings me to my next point, SEO. You've heard of it, but what is it? Let's take an exerpt from wikipedia that best explains SEO.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.
The acronym "SEO" can refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure.
Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, use methods such as link farms, keyword stuffing and article spinning that degrade both the relevance of search results and the user-experience of search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices.
Bottom line, what all this means to you is how to get your site on the first page of the search engines which will bring more traffic that will, with fine tuning, convert to sales.
Now if you were a celebrity, you's have no problem getting traffic. Just create a twitter account and watch them come. Though chances are you are not a celebrity and you can't figure out how to make a sale online. Offline you can, online you have not yet.
This is where you hire a guy like me. Outsourcing is not that all uncommon anymore in regards to creating a web presence to ultimately put more money in the bank. Like wiki points out, sometimes seo just means changing the code or the design of the site to give the search engine spiders what they want and you get indexed that much faster.
Search engines shouldn't be the only source of traffic on your list. It can help though it's just one of the many ways to get traffic.
Sign up to an industry specific forum where they all meet and putting a link in your signature line can get some targeted traffic.
Some have had success on Twitter or Facebook, make sure your link is visible to your "friends" or "followers".
Write about your product or service through articles. Article marketing is another good way to get traffic.
The more links you have going to your site, the more traffic you can expect, just don't expect it all at once.
In closing, SEO is a business onto itself and if not done properly, it can deter you from making the kinds of numbers you set forth in creating your online empire.

The Science Of Marketing
I love it when people say "There is a science to everything..." because there really is. Ok, ok maybe its not rocket science, though there really is a science to everything.
Let's take Marketing as an example. We see the super bowl ads every year and can vote on them. Which ones were hot and which ones not.
Beyond the dollars spent and all the production going into making such an extravagant advertisement, it has to have a point. At the end of this ad or commercial, what does the company want the person seeing it to do?
Here is where the science takes place.
No Action, which means getting it through the persons head that eventually you'll end up needing our product or service at some point after that person has seen the company name more than once.
OR
Action, which is mostly hype to buy the company's product now. Now Now NOW!
In both scenario's, if the product is good, the person will probably come back at least once or twice to see what new products or promotions the company has going on.
Return Value
Based on that one person buying that product and receiving the benefit of that product. They end up telling other people about the benefits and or returning themselves after awhile.
Feedback
Without this persons feedback there might not be a new product or if there is, might have to change the direction or function of this new product from the customers feedback. This is crucial to a company's longevity and in someways a vital step from being a so so company to being an industry leader. People are always willing to give detailed feedback on a good product. If the product sucks with no feedback, you have a real problem. Whoops, back to the drawing board.
In Conclusion
Just like learning how to ride a bike, marketing is the key to any type of business. Remember when we were kids and you wanted to sell lemonade at a stand with a sign to the passing by bicyclists. Few would stop and pay the buck.
At the end of the day, you got so excited cause you made an extra 20 bucks just by making lemonade (I remember mom making the lemonade while I setup the table n the signs.)
You know what's funny, I get the same excitement today as I did back then when I come up with great idea or marketing plan. You should too.
Keep The Dream Alive And Never Give Up!
