Racquet Network

  • Concentrating Our Buying Power
One of my goals when I started Racquet Network in 2004 was to concentrate the buying power of our members and allow all of us to share in deep discounts on racquets and accessories from brand name manufacturers. Over time, as our network grows, and as our players learn to concentrate and coordinate their buying power, I am confident that we will be able to offer better and better prices to our members. • Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Apike?
For more than a year I have been hearing and reading all kinds of rumours about the Apike, but I haven't seen any facts. So to begin arriving at some, I did what any guy my age would do; I bought a radar gun. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • The Cost of Sport
Most players prefer to imagine that they will be able to continue paying unsustainable prices forever. They would rather pay nothing and eventually see a facility closed forever than pay a fair price that ensures it will be able to keep its doors open for this generation and the next. New players are often confused about our fee structure at Racquet Network. So today I would like to offer a summary of our fees beginning with single biggest area of confusion -- Challenge League Fees and Box League Fees. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • Entertain Yourself Thin
Doubles play is a great way to enter or re-enter racquet sports. You get the benefits of moderate exercise combined with the social benefits of meeting new players. Depending on your gender, weight and skill level, you can burn anywhere from 300 to 800 calories per hour playing doubles racquet sports. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • Lose It! Use It!
By putting the two things together, I can overcome the deficiencies of each. I can use the Mio watch to accurately count the calories I am burning. I can then use Lose It! to manage all of the information. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • How To Serve: Speedminton
Speed badminton (a.k.a. speedminton) is an outdoor game. Like all outdoor games, wind, sun and humidity all offer challenges that must be overcome. In most cases, the best serving strategy is the simplest: just get it in. Most opponents will make a predictable number of errors on the service return. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • Box League Obligations
By reminding every box league player of the obligations that they have to every other player in their box and in their league, we can avoid unnecessary problems and ensure that everyone has a good time playing the games they love. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • What is an RLP?
Racquet Network welcomes both SLPs and RLPs into our community. If we didn't, we wouldn't offer SLPs anything for free. But we will always give RLPs more than SLPs because RLPs give back, which is why we say they are the heart and soul of everything we do. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • What is Play or Die?
The most frequently asked question we get about our box leagues here at Racquet Network has to be this: What is "Play or Die"? The simplest way to answer this question is to point our that our Play or Die system is what makes our box leagues successful. By requiring participants to play their matches or face elimination, we keep our players engaged and our leagues active. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • Pickleball Lessons: Forehand Tips
By developing a consistent follow through that carries your energy directly toward your target, you will increase the number of times that your opponent is forced to hit desperate, defensive shots. And when this happens, the number of mistakes coming from your opponent's racquet will begin to increase. Related posts on Racquet Network:

  • What Are Box Leagues?
Racquet Network creates box leagues at the request of Registered League Players. It doesn't matter how many members are in that particular city. If six RLPs can be found who will support the league, Racquet Network will create it and administer the league on behalf of our players. Related posts on Racquet Network:
